Hi All,
During using of CHDK I saw some of menu symbols (icons) could be optimized/improved. For example using of
(i) symbol is more habitual comparing to
/i\ one as triangle background is usually used for
warnings, round background is used for
infos.
Check out changes by simple comparing two attached image files (
icon_10.png and
icon_10_new2.png).
I was following to the next rules/goals:
1) Each symbol should be readable as much as possible (on camera LCD display!)
2) All letters should be unified as much as possible (same size/style for each category)
3) Each symbol should have at least 1-pix free border if possible
4) Symbols in
icon_10.rbf font should be similar to symbols in
icon_16.rbf font
I'll be glad to hear any feedback.
IMPORTANT: Visual appearance was tested on
A710 IS camera. If you have camera with different LCD display - please write here your visual impression (modified
icon_10_new2.zip attached - just unzip & put it into your
\CHDK\SYMBOLS\ dir and select from
Visual Settings > Menu RFB Font... in runtime).
