Thanks Achillies and Reyalp for the replies. I have Adobe Photoshop but I can't opened the files until now. I was saving the raw files CRW now they are save in a DNG extension and I can finally open them. Thanks for the advice!!!! I amazed with all the fine tuning I can do to my pictures!!! Is true I have a lot to learn, I'm really excited. RAW is a great thing, thanks again!!!

Hi, I'm using version # 185 and had no problems, I have taken many photos with different functions, also in raw and dng.
Bracketing mode tested in all steps and do not let me down, I Have not Been Able to play the # 200 failure, I use the English language by default in the camera and chdk.cfg by default.
I tried downloading the # 200 "chdk.cfg" and loaded into the camera, I follow the steps for that user and I have no problems.

the word "OK" appears unchanged in all my tests so far.

I will continue doing some tests

Greetings

PS: @quid: you want us to test specific functions?

Hi, Quid!

I've been using your testing CHDK and OK never dissappeared. I tried most of options, including overrides (ISO, tv, av), OSD settings, DNG format and so one. Didn't try bracketing, having no time.

Great staff;)

Thanks to all of you for tests, results are promising, but it's important that you try to focus on original firmware features - like shooting in scene mode, video recording with special effects, red eye correction or connecting camera to TV.
If there will be no problems, then I will have a nice surprise for you later, but I have to be sure that my changes will not have any bad effect on the camera. After that we can return to testing CHDK features like bracketing or overrides.

Ok, as you wish:) This time I tried all options aviable under Func key (white balance, colours, series, flash-lamp, lightness, jpg size and compression). I tried to change as many parameters as possible and 'OK' did never dissappear. I did this in M mode. Then I tried to use other modes but didn't try to change as many parameters. I also tried changing tv and av as well as ISO. Tried manual, auto and makro focus. Tried flash and no flash. 'Ok' dissapearing has never been seen. Also movie recording was ok.

While testing, the CHDK was loaded through Firm Update. RAW and DNG saving was enabled.

I hope it's helpful:)

I think I've almost exhausted things to do, but I'm still trying (REALLY, REALLY HARD) to get something to fail.  After going through all of the cameras shutter speeds, ISO settings, etc. in every mode I can (I'm sure I missed a few), I've started using the overrides in CHDK, one by one, setting them to an extreme.  I've also started doing things like turning the camera left and right (and upside down), to make sure the sensors work right, WHILE using and not using the remote, AND turning the red-eye reduction on, AND.. there are just so many combinations!
Don't let the sands of time get in your lunch.

Yes, you can really go through batteries.. I got a power supply for $15 not including shipping, and it has saved alot of batteries so far!

BTW, I've tried to test some of the really fast shutter speeds, and I'm pretty sure that the shutter can do at least 1/64000. I don't have a really definative test, but shooting the picture on an old TV, and based on a television horizontal scan rate of 24000, I get a pretty clear picture of about 1/3 of a single scan line on my TV.  NEAT-O!  I've also taken some pictures with 5 minute exposures, and it's tough waiting for your camera to finish (5 minutes just seems like forever)!  The OK still stays up when done, and hasn't gone away.

EDIT - I was reading back through this forum from the beginning in an attempt to try to help with something other than testing camera functions, and once again I really have to take my hats off to the guys that got this going. Between Sikahr and Quid, (and I'm sure there are others), we have some really good stuff here in next to no time. I hope those that know how can fix the memory "Problem" that is currently troubling us.

EDIT #2 - I just had an interesting thing happen.. After unloading all of the pics from the camera, I couldn't get it to start in playback mode.  It started in record mode just fine, CHDK banner and functions all there, but if I tried to start in playback no go.  All I needed to do to "fix it", was to take a picture.  The only reason I think it's odd, is because it has started in playback with no pictures repeatedly, and this was the first failure to load this way.
