Great news! Thank you! I'm testing this now and I have to say wow!
I recievied first crash while copying files (two little scripts from '/CHDK_scr/CHDK/SCRIPTS' to '/CHDK/SCRIPTS'.

=offtopic mode=
Forgive me, if there are mistypes in my post, my laptop LCD is broken and doesn't light, so I can see almost nothing.
Nevertheless it's enough light to download files:D
EDIT - OMG! Screen is shining... a miracle!

THis new version of CHDK even fixed your broken laptop screen!  I've heard it will even wash your car if you can figure out the correct parameters in Extra photo operations!

Hi! It looks like boot-crash came back. A few secounds ago I tried to run CHDK (FirmUpdate) and it crashed like mentioned before. I'm using polish lang and the your last release of full CHDK.
After one shot without CHDK nothing has changed, but after deleting this new photo CHDK run once. Then I turned camera off and on - CHDK crash. So I made another shoot without CHDK and then reboot camera - then everything was ok. I've done this a few times and I'm sure, that when the one picture is the las, CHDK can't run.

EDIT:
No, that rule is not true. Now It looks almost randomly. Several crashes, several ok-boots. Without doing anything, only reboot/FirmUpd, reboot/FirmUpd, reboot/FirmUpd... Who said that computers are deterministic?!

Maybe should I do something like memory dump or something? Could it be helpfull? I don't know, how to do this if it's needed.

@SX130user
Everybody's happy:D

@achilles
Unfortunetly now the inverter in my laptop ended it's life. I gues that CHDK can't fix it anymore...

So once agin - forgive me for mistypes, I'm writing it almost in completly darkness...

Hi again, I am very happy with this progress. My question:
Temperature sensor for battery shows -99 degrees all the time.
What could be the reason?

Regards

@outslider: Can you try these in order:
- try to use build attached to this post
- try to use English language
- try to backup and delete CCHDK.CFG (if this helps, send me this config file)
- try to use another SD card
If nothing helps, then send me romlog.log

@CHDKSerbianFan: It's because SX130 does not have battery temperature sensor.

hi!, today I take a day on the mountain and I've taken over 150 pictures with all common features of CHDK and also the standart options.
I have no problems so far, I am currently using:

1. My SX130IS Fw 1.01C

2. Rechargeable Ni-Mh 2100mAh with autonomy of approximately 3 hours per pair (with CHDK running, turning on, turning off recording etc.)

3. An SD Memory 8GB class 4 (booting CHDK manually) with # 219 sx130is-101c-0.9.9-1054-1-full files

4. A small flexible tripod

I use it in the English language
Ubasic testing some script ok (MD)
Videos only 10 minutes maximum
Photos on all scene modes work
some macro videos and photos ok
CRW Raw ok
DNG Raw ok
probe almost every shutter speed with flash, and apparently 1 / 64000 works? do not know how to verify the true maximum of the camera.
TV bracketing Focus bracketing + / -, + and - ok
histogram and zebra ok
file reader, calendar, works ok
I can live with the Disappearing menu bug, ha  :)

for now I could only prove that the version # 219
a question, the version of post # 225 is exactly the same as # 219?

Tonight I will continue testing my camera with # 219

PS: Anyone know the exact model of the original power supply of the SX130 is? or voltage and amperage to be used?

Greetings :)

Hi! What about scripting in the new version? Is it not working or I just cannot use scripts?
I badly need to record longer videos than 10 minutes. Could you look at it please?

Scripting is enabled - both UBASIC and Lua.
I've already looked into 10 minute limitation, and for now I have no idea how to do it.

Anyone know the exact model of the original power supply of the SX130 is? or voltage and amperage to be used?

The model number for the Canon power supply is ACK-800.  From canon that one costs $50  I bought an "aftermarket" model from bestbatt.com with a model number of CA-PS800 (output is 3.15V @ 1.5A), and it works fine.

What about scripting in the new version? Is it not working or I just cannot use scripts?

I am using scripting and it works quite well. It sounds like the features you're trying to access may not be implemented yet.  Such as ptpcam. I would like ptpcam, but it's just not working on this camera yet.  But because I don't know enough about HOW to implement it, all I (we) can do is to try to help those that DO know how.  You also have to remember that many of these experts that are helping us DON'T HAVE THIS CAMERA, so as other cameras with similar features are discovered, we get a larger base of knowledge, and our programming friends get a little more light to help them look down the barrels of our Canons.
