I would like to ask you a question. Is Auto ISO working at this time? I tryied it and it seems to not be working.

did you have disable overrides off if not change it to that and auto iso will work, or just change the include auto-iso and bracketing to off and you can leave disable overrides alone

I tryied all possible combinations. If auto ISO works, does the ISO value change on the camera display or it is not visible? Because if I try to set max ISO to 200 and I try to take a photo in the dark, I still see ISO 400 on the display.

Good Morning,

I have just bought a SX130 and am interested to try Chdk. The firmware version on my camera is GM1.01D.  The 101c Chdk clearly doesn't work and so I was just wondering if there is a Chdk release planned for cameras with the GM1.01D firmware?

Good Morning Maddad,

We don't have access to a GM1.01D firmware so if you can provide a firmware dump that would help.
Maybe Canon will issue an update file in the near future?

Hi,

Ah OK.   My programming skills are non existent I'm afraid and after looking through the various threads about getting a firmware dump seems like a hard task in itself!  I guess we will have to hope Canon put out GM1.01D on the web somewhere as an update.  Still  a good camera though even without Chdk  but I would have liked to play around with RAW files and the other features.  Fingers crossed!

Good question to ask but unless you see something posted here,  this is the standard answer :

And Canon updates of f/w for p&s cameras are very unlikely. In your case, as of today, you would actually need the 1.01C firmware version (i.e. go backwards) to work with CHDK.  As the 1.01D seems to be what the latest models on sale have,  you probably have a better chance that somebody will port CHDK for the 1.01C to CHDK for the 1.01D.

Hi, I've been using chdk on my sx130 for a few weeks now, and I'm very satisfied, very great job!:)

One simple question: is there a way to disable/shut down the lcd screen when using long exposure time or when using the ultra invalometer script?
Because the lcd is draining the battery very fast, and in these modes I really don't need the lcd on, after the first setup.

I'm using sanyo eneloops 1900mah, and today, the ultra invalometer, set to make one shot every 30secs, after about 143pics the battery was completely drained, and I've charged it the other day.

I've found an option in miscellaneous stuff--> disable lcd off, wich has 4 options: script, always, never, alt, but whatever option I choose, the lcd is on.. :S

Is there a way, to turn it off?

My chdk verison is: 0.9.9-1163

Thank you. :)

I've seen now, that the option I'm trying is exactly the opposite: keeps the lcd on. :D

So, is there a way to turn it off, or maybe to modify the ultra invalometer script to shut down the lcd after the first image?:)

I've tried inserting
@param q blank screen N/Y 0/1
@default q 0

into the script, seting it to 1, but nothing.. :S

One way to blank your LCD is to insert the Video cable into the USB.  That will cause the LCD to turn off.  I am not sure what your power savings really are, but it may help.

I'm not sure if the code to turn the LCD on and off is already in CHDK, but microfunguy and myself have tested a software version of turning the LCD off (using SDM) and it does work (so it is possible).

I have also built a custom video cable with a switch that enables or disables video output, so it is possible via hardware too (but not necessarily easy).   If you're handy with electronics, see here ->http://www.achillies.com/CHDK_Files/USB_Splitter.htm

There is quite a bit of information in the forum related to this.  From the top level of the forum, do a search and you will find posts like this one http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php?topic=5032.msg48517#msg48517

@mephistos - try this DE build (if you need the DE build), if it doesn't help I will change some compile options and post a new one for you.

Oooo, shiny!  I'll try it out, see if video works with it.

Also here's a <3 request.  I love the timelapse stuff I can do with the intervalometer scripts... but I've discovered I can use miniature mode with faster video speed.... is there any way of forcing that into the video settings so that I can set the speed instead of just the quality?  That would simplify the entire process of making a timelapse video in HD.

First - Cannot thank the people doing all the work enough
second - if i have a SX 130is with 1.01D can i downgrade it to 1.01C ??

i am desperate for a CHDK camera and would be buying a SX 130is but i have doubts about it being ver 1.01D
and i would not buy it if CHDK doesnt work on it :)
