Is there a way to use script function "is_key" to take input by scroll circle? I'm not sure I'm calling the things right, but you know, I like to use this scroll to operate a script.

Thank you Philmoz, Thank you Very much !! as i stated a couple of weeks back i wouldnt buy a camera if it didnt run CHDK and i was wary about buying SX 130 lest it turn out to be GM1.01D.

one of the reasons is i would like to use PTPCam with it. can you tell me if PTPCam will work with it. i have checked that CHDK-DE version works with it i am not aware if PTP is part of the CHDK english.

since you have been so helpfull and a lifesaver, one more question. is it possible to get live preview to stream on USB (low fps is acceptable). a while back i did read about CHDKCam which seemed to do that. however as far as i know CHDKCam only worked on a patched ver of CHDK and was never incorporated to the main trunk.

is supposed to have upgrade for users of SX130IS fw 1.01c?

Probably you can upgrade, but currently there is no CHDK for 1.01D, so once you'll upgrade FW, you'll be unable to run CHDK untill it'll be ported. Even if there are some reasons for upgrade (however 1.01.C works without problems) I would wait for CHDK for 1.01D.

Nevertheless, if you're interested in become tester for the new port (for 1.01D) guys that work on it might be happy;) I guess so.

The camera firmware cannot be updated unless Canon release a firmware update program - they did this for the update to 1.01c; but it is extremely rare for them to do this.

The code has been added to the main trunk so it should be available on the autobuild server in the next few days.

Oh... i was wrong twice. I missed up for the 1.01D port and I didn't know that there is some needed program for update. I updated my FW to 1.01C when I found this thread (and CHDK at all) but I forgot the way it was done.

Thank you, philmoz for correction of my answer;)

PS. Since you said that the only difference between 1.01C and D is that some adresses are shifted, so probably there is no, or very little difference in the way they work. Maybe Canon just makes CHDK porting more complicated.

I'm sorry to report that the DE build still produces corrupted video, with default settings.  Again recording raw images seems to go a lot faster.  I would like to use this build because of some of the new features (and optimization), but I think I'll wait until video works.  0.9.9 works fine.

@mephistos - Thanks for testing and reporting.  It is too bad that the DE version is still corrupting video.  I'll see if there are any changes to the trunk that may help (but our build 101c has not had any development, so I doubt if anything will change).

@carlosmafla21 - If you have 101c on your camera, you should use this build -> http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php?topic=5691.msg67546#msg67546 The CHDK build you choose should match your firmware version.

You can test the newest DE autobuild version (revision 682) with phil's changings, available for 1.01c & 1.01d.
