In main menu you have something like RAW parameters or something (I don't use english version). Iside you have an option "Save as RAW". Mark this option. RAW files will be saved into 1DCIM/00CANON directory on SD card.

You can also mark in the RAW parameters menu option 'DNG format' which couses RAW be saved in DNG format, which is more common than Canon RAW (like CR2, CRW or others) and you'll have access to DNG files in common programms, like Raw Therapee or UFRaw.

Once you have all needed RAW options marked you'll see, that after you take a shoot the green diode near jogdial will be lighting for a 1-2 sec. This means, that RAW is being seved.

I have a 1 week old sx130 and am not using chkd much until the new-ness wears off. 
Is there a 2500 eneloop?  I can only find 1900 and 2000.

I've got 2700mAh but PowerBase, not Eneloop. These bateries works very well for me.

Others are seeing this too - seems to happen randomly at different times of day so it probably just bad luck with the timing that it did not work for you at home but did at work.

Unfortunetly - no. The camera can shoot next image as fast, as previous image processing is done. If you have RAW saving enabled it takes even more time.

Theoretically - it would be possible to disable image processing in camera somehow with only RAW-saveing, wich could be faster, than all the things, that camera has to do with an image, but nobody knows, how to change some camera behavior.

I guess, that cameras, which has burst shooting mode keeps all RAWs in memory without saving them, which saves a lot of time. It is theoretically possible too, bot never done for the same reason. Of course if SX130 has enough memory, which is unlikely since it was never designed for things like this.

Also - the last limitation, that can't be ever removed is how fast the data are read from the image sensor.

definate pattern to logging in to this site
I can always login from XP IE at work.
I can NEVER log in from Home usging XP & Firefox or Win7 & Firefox Or IE -timeout error-

The timeout length is already quite long.  For some reason I can never log-in from any of 3 PCs at home, but can always log-in from PC at work for the setepontos forum.

I CAN log in to the main CHDK Wikia @ home or work, but would like to track and comment about the sx130 on setepontos.com

This suggests some problem on your end, or between your home connection and the forum. The forum has intermittent problems, but if you can *never* access it from that specific location, something else is wrong.

Wikia is completely separate.
