@can1
ive bought 11 last week here in India and all of them are version F.(ordered another 15 to be delivered monday)
i would suppose that any that you get first hand in the market would be a F these days. Ive not heard about an E in these forums but i may be wrong.
that leaves B which you can upgrade using the official firmware on canon site.
about the SX 150 the only thing changed(at first glance) is the 14mp sensor. and as long as the sensor size is not increased - which i doubt
as that would require changing the whole lens system - i fear that the image quality will hardly improve, rather it will introduce more noise -
also it takes a little while for the excellent people in these forums to port to a new camera. and another long delay to wrinkle out the bugs.
that is y i am stocking around 6 - 8 months worth of them
as it is SX 130 is more than worth for what you will pay for it. here in india i am getting it at 9150 Rs(approx US$ 203)
and considering that my company is utilizing it for business it get a VAT Setoff of 12.5% which makes my effective cost to approx US$ 180 i have
never received such a bargain in the ultrazoom range - ive been using Olympus SP 500, 550,700, 710, then canon S 1,3,5, SX 100, 110, 120) all but SX120 with official SDK .
at this stage given a choice of SX 130 and SX 150 at same price i would pick up the SX 130 without hesitation
if you have any doubts about the quality of images check out dpreview.com or similar review sites or check out the excellent macro shot by mike a couple of pages back
