@Pilda

I just missed out on your post, forgive me. I'm not ignoring you.

I meant just reboot function, just like here: http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/Script_commands#reboot.28.5Bfile.5D.29
if (2*b || !2*b) {
    cout<<question
}

Compile error: poor Yorick

Ok, no problem. I thought you may thought a function directly in CHDK. I don't have any script with this function to test. If it is needed to test it, write it to me.

Does it require native function call to be enabled? I'm not sure if it is enabled on the official build... I have no camera here, so I'm asking before I'll try.
Yes, calling eventprocs requires native calls to be enabled, and this not enabled in the trunk autobuilds. It is enabled in the CHDKDE autobuilds.

Ok, just got my brand new SX130is in the mail. Within an hour I had CHDK on it.
So I went and learned the settings, took a photo at 1/100,000 (amazing) I stopped time.
Then a storm came, I though, GREAT lightning script test :D But, script would not load.
In fact, I browsed to the script folder with the camera select script browser, and there was nothing.
I used the first script here. http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/UBASIC/Scripts:_Lightning_Photography

Before that it says something about raw and dark frame subtraction. I don't understand much of that.
So can someone guide me through doing some lightning photography?
Also, I need a regular motion detect script. (not sure if the two are the same or not)

Hello and welcome.

took a photo at 1/100,000 (amazing)

It would be amazing if it were true.
I am assuming you used flash.

The flash duration determines the exposure, the shutter is open for FAR longer than that.

Without flash, you cannot photograph anything at that speed except for self-luminous plasma.

I'll turn on the thing that tells you what it actualy is taking.
Other problems I'm having involve some distortion of straight lines.

Ok, found another bug.
When reviewing pictures, it takes much longer to zoom in and out of your picture and move around. The same when your just flipping through the pictures. I assume this is because CHDK is taking up extra camera RAM.
Any way to put CHDK in kinda a minimized mode when reviewing pictures? So when you leave review and back to taking pictures, it loads back up from the card?

EDIT: hmm, it's just fine today. Must have just needed a power cycle.

marsrover:
my pc is not able to read the jpg files, but if you meant the distortion when you use the shortest focal length and RAW, it is normal. You can correct it in an editing software. I do it in Camera Raw.  I use settings like in the attachment.

If anyone can use it better, let me know.

There is a bug with exposure override - when I tried to set 2000 seconds camera showed a massage like "Some bug occured and the camera will shut down".

When I tried 1800 sec. it took a photo. Nevertheless I need much longer exposure than 1800 (like to get 3-4 hours to take stars rotation).

That's a limit of your camera then, not really a bug.

No CHDK camera can get over about 2000 seconds, the exposure time is in microseconds and wraps around to negative. As you've noticed, some cameras fail even before reaching that limit.

I would suggest stacking a number of shorter exposures instead. There's really not much difference between adding up photons on the sensor or adding up counts later.
