I've been using CHDK very successfully on my SX130IS since last summer. As some of you will recall, I was more than a little apprehensive about "installing" it, but now I couldn't be more of an advocate for CHDK.
I've tried and used (I'm fairly certain) every RAW converter out there to convert my Canon DNGs to JPEG, always searching for the very best results. While I can't fault Adobe LR (or Photoshop), as they generally give excellent results, my newly discovered favorite is Silkypix. I use the free version (of Silkypix version 3) and couldn't be more pleased with what it generates. I critique and compare my results at 200% onscreen, and they are comparable with LR.
Some users of Silkypix (at least they claim to have used it) complain about the interface, but I find it quite easy to use, and constant tweaking is generally not necessary (as it is with so many lesser RAW converters). Load a previously saved "development parameter" (template) and process your photos with a single click. I mention all this because, for whatever reason, I had never tried Silkypix before now. If you haven't either, give it a try. Feel free to inquire with me if you have any questions.
Mike
