Patch files attached to my posts include all new and changed files. Use TortoiseSVN to download correct revision (mentioned in patch filename) from CHDK SVN repository and apply patch.

Hi,
first of all THX to the people working on this port ... really amazing how fast it's progressing!

Simple - maybe stupid - question:
I downloaded the archive mentioned in #85 and after manual activation via 'Firm Update...' the battery indicator etc. shows up as expected. But i'm unable to access the CHDK menue - a short press of the 'PRINT' button followed  by 'MENUE' simply pops up the regular menue.
It's probably something REALLY obvious i'm missing here ...

I don't know what you are pressing, because this camera doesn't have print button :), but you have to press Face Selector button instead. After that on the bottom of LCD you should see ALT - then you can press Menu button.

First of all, thanks to everyone working on this port!

I've been using the version in #85, and recently tried out the one in #101. The custom timer works perfect with bracketing! but when i try to use the custom timer with override features, the camera crashes after the first picture
I hope someone could find the problem, it would be much appreciated

Hi!

CHDK from #85 crashed from time to time, but this new release looks more stable. Have no crash yet;)
I've got a question - will it be possible to enable scripting in this camera? Or it just has too small ram?

Thanks for your answers to my questions.
I'm kind of regretting not getting the SX-120IS..  (improvements do not outweigh other shortcomings)
oh well... I'll be more careful next time.

I've compared CHDK & Free mem size for two cameras: sx130 and a495 (trunk958 with my changes, there aren't any images on disk):

sx130: CHDK - 260064, free - 206969;
a495: CHDK - 266480, free - 203544.

Free mem size for both cams is the same but a495 hasen't any problems with low memory.

From dump:

heap start: sx130 - 0x166210, a495 - 0x128e90.
DRY HEAP END: sx130 - 0x2f1f80, a495 - 0x2724a8.

So, heap size: sx130 - 0x18bd70, a495 - 0x149618.

Heap size sx130 is more then this one for a495!

Free mem for sx130 after shoot in PB mode is about 40 kb.  Perhaps, image is placed into heap? a495 has 200 kb free memory before and after shoot.

Impossible, even without CHDK heap is smaller than a single image.
