I successfully updated to the latest firmware version, I'm testing the CHDK on my camera, bracketing, raw, long exposure work's well, I'll keep trying the other options I'm exalted with happiness.

a question: need script function enabled to prove remote shot and remote focus with usb?

Perhaps not the right thread to ask, but does CHDK allow sx120, sx130, s5 to have similar PC controlled functionality the sx110 has with PSremote software including remote zoom, shutter..etc.? Any direction here would be helpful. Thank you.

@Vash11779: Currently it's not possible to override video lenght limit on sx130.

@SX130user: According to http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/CHDK_User_Manual#Remote_Parameters you can use remote USB cable without scripting. This function was not tested on sx130.

@ejhpkh: CHDK FAQ advises to disable CHDK when you use such programs, so I guess it's not possible.

scripting works on the sx130 with chdk but you have to use an older version of chdk for the sx130.  Thats what I'm doing and its working fine for me.  You can find a scripting version on post #82 on page 6 on this thread.  The only problem I'm running into are the crashes that occur in low memory situation.
for example, it crashes when you try to load a script if you started the camera in playback mode, however if the camera is started in capture mode, you can load scripts without crashing.  After messing around with that version of chdk long enough youll figure out where the camera crashes and learn ways around it.
Thats what im doing and im very happy with the results. Hopes this helps and keep up the good work guys!

sorry if this isnt the right forum for this question but does the SX130 support dual partions im having trouble with getting CHDK on my >4 gb cards? i got it to work on a 16gb but after that the camera got a lens error and hasnt started since not blaming CHDK but wondering if the dual partions messed up the camera

Sorry to hear about your camera, but I don't think it was because of dual partitions. There was small bug with detection of second partition, but I've had no problems or crashes during testing before and after the fix. Did you use latest version from reply #101 or earlier?

Changes in new version:
- fixed saving RAW when exposure is over 1s and dark frame is used
- fixed dark frame override (looks like new cameras don't use nrflag)
- fixed second partition detection
- added video quality override
