A480 GM1.00B No "Firm Update" Option

I have no "Firm Update" option in the menu. I am in playback mode, I have three menus and the left most one has this at the bottom:

Erase all..
Resume
Transition

... but not "Firm Update".

Any ideas?

This menu item is visible when the camera was started in playback mode (lens retracted) & the file "ps.fi2" ("ps.fir" on older cameras) is placed in the card's root...
On a Mac, read the Mac FAQ, especially the Still having trouble section.
