Thanks fe50,

I have all the stubs, and started boot.c, I't compiles so I can create a small build to test it.

Bern, since i dont have the cam, can you get the PLATFORMID  through one of the methods as fe50 link?

without it, and without the cam, can't keep going

I' dont know if there are any other developers with this cam, anyway

boot.c is here >untested and only for testing boot , no hooks at all yet.

I get this output from the camera in windows device Manager.

USB\VID_04A9&PID_31F8\

So it should be 31f8

If you have a test version let me know, i like to test.

the above file i have not test, i dont know for what this is need now, because you have no PID

Thank fe50,

And thanks Bernd R , I have a first try-out bin to test, it only should (in the best case scenario) show the chdk logo,
its -> CHDK-ixus1000_sd4500-100cAlphav0.001.zip

Donwload it here: http://es.drop.io/chdk_ixus1000sd4500

Load it in play mode -> menu -> firmware update.....

waiting for feedback

The other info and files posted is for developers hopefully with the cam not like me, who can help with the port

I test now the binary.

when i prepare my 4 gb card with card tricks for boot(i reformat it before, to remove the old dump firmware script), and install the zip archive, and i insert the card in camera and switch on, nothing happens.

also when i remove the Card and switch on nothing happen.

only when i remove the battery for 5-10 sec and switch on without Card, then Camera work as before.

Have you a idea what problem ?
I see no light flickering etc.

Edit:

I notice when i remove the write protect on Card, the camera work as before.

I dont understand what you mean, i use the chdk install instructions from here

dont follow the standar instructions for the autoload, you need to do it manually

get a normal sd ,
unzip all the contents to the root if the sd
srart the cam  in play mode
click-> menu -> (at the end)  firmware update.....

report what happen

ok, i see when i go to firmware update the requester

update from 1.0.0.0 to 1.1.0.0

when i press ok, then the camera switch off and do nothing more.I can not switch it on

I must remove battery and replace to get it working.

I try the steps 2 times but always same happen
