I have the idea that a rectangle and a dot in the middle that show the X and Y shift of the lens value can avoid unsharp pictures.the rectangle is the maximum lens antishake shift possible.
Because the photographer can hold the Camera in that way, that the lens shift dot is in the middle.
so the Anti shake lens shift have better range to correct a shake.
I can for example with my Ixus 1000 at 36 mm take a sharp image at 1 sec exposure time freehand
but its not easy, i must move the camera in all 4 ways and look when the image move in all sides.now i must try to move the camera in the middle position.
but when see the lens shift value this is much better possible.
Is it possible to read this values out and print them with chdk ?
And last not least, do you think is that a usefull function to add to chdk ?
best is when the values are also update during exposure.so the photgrapher have a feedback if he have his camera hold good.
