I believe you are right, :) as maximum sensitivity is dependent on hardware. Will do a controlled test though... Thanks for pointing that out :)

Hi David,

I always use RAW shooting when using my IR filter. The ability to change WB makes a large difference to my final images (when compared to using JPEG alone).

Yes, that makes sense.

I am currently considering which features are genuinely useful to the majority of photographers.

The aim is to produce a cleaner, leaner version.

This is true especially if the IR-blocking filter of the camera has been removed.

I usually turn off the automatic dark frame subtraction, and do it manually after each session in order to save time, since taking deep-sky photos usually require around 30 or so 2-minute exposures.

Excellent work,what mount did you use?

Nice to see objects that are not seen by us in the northern hemisphere.
