A 710 IS worked flawlessly--A- 700 won't recognise CHDK at all!

I checked the correct firmware for my Canon A 700--unzipped all as usual to the card--press Set + Disp---nothing--locked card-nothing. What can I try next please? Any ideas? Been using a different CHDK on a Canon A 710IS for years with not the slightest hitch--help please? Update;- OK I realised the prob--in the A 700 you don't "unzip to the card" you unzip - open the folder-then load folder to card ( poor Grammar?)--Now can someone please explain where the "shortcut" button is on the A 700 as I tried everything to get into this ALT menu? Thanks in advance..

UPDATE--all probs solved! OK in case this helps anyone else--I was reading the "readme" file which does NOT match exactly what you ACTUALLY do( at least on the A 700) the " Shortcut" button is actually labelled "print" button, when in the ALT menu the "make card bootable" is NOT under the "debug" menu, but the menu BEFORE the debug one. Perhaps the readme files are outdated now ?

Yes, make card bootable was moved to the Miscellaneous stuff menu. The pdf manual seems to be up to date.

As for ALT, the direct print button is a configurable shortcut button in Canon's original functionality for A series and IXUS (unless they've removed that feature from some models?). Some cameras have a dedicated shortcut button which is used as ALT by default.

That said, `svn diff`doesn't recognize my modifications to doc/readme.txt, I wonder why is that?
