Ok so I found this little app that lets you make scripts with mouse movement and clicks (http://www.murgee.com/auto-mouse-click/install.htm), wrote a couple of scripts and got the files from chdkdumps, chdkdumps2 and chdkdumps3.

There's all the the location I already mentioned, with the chdkdevelopment drop, :

Code: [Select]
[url]ftp://helpedia.com/pub/mirrors/drop.io/[/url]

A single file is missing from chdkdumps, ixus900_sd900_100c.7z - drop.io reports page not found when I clicked the Download link to retrieve it.

If there's any other drop.io dump that needs to be retrieved let me know.

I'm not planning to change the url in the short time and I don't have problems hosting them so if you want feel free to post the links on wikia or whatever.

I'm also all for making it more "friendly", using some alias like "chdkfiles.setepontos.com" or something similar or whatever you want, have the files available directly from a web page... I can also put up some upload form or create an upload account for mods to add files, just let me know.

ps. Just remove the stupid url tags that the script adds automatically first.

ps2. I could also change the url  to something like  /pub/software/chdk/ or something like that, if you'd like to get all the files in one place  (chdk shell from boxee for example, other files from various file hosts)

You can get SD900 from my drop: http://drop.io/ixus900_sd900_100c/asset/ixus900-sd900-100c-dump-full

I already thought about that... but was not shure about legal issus hosting firmware dumps for example in germany.
Sound like a very good idea to put most of the important stuff together in one location.
Upload/Download script would be usefull so we can update the stuff directly!

That also says 404 Not found. Maybe it's something temporary as they wind down.

Hehe, should have test it, sorry!

Anyway, I've mirrored it here:
