Anyone tried to open the CRW files with a program listed in the chdk faq? - maybe i m too noob, but i can not :( Tested Gimp with plugin and raw therapee..

Sorry, maybe I don't clearly understood what do you mean, but I think it is the normal zebra mode...
If you are able to compile chdk by yourself, try the up-to-dated version of the trunk and check if this happens too (my build it's based on an old one - some weeks ago)

I have the same problem! I think those programs lacks of support for our camera, but I don't tested it very much...

Just an update...

I'm working on the 'Make SD bootable' problem...

The _UpdateMBROnFlash wrapper works fine and change correctly the bootflag, but when the camera reads the SD card reply with a 'Memory card not inserted' (as reported by smeangol).
Maybe a wrong flag value...


...and still no way to open .crw picture!!!

Hi,
Have you tried to reuse following piece of code from A610 ?

loader\a530\entry.S :
// Turn OFF SD Card power
// to support autostart
   LDR     R3, =0xC02200BC

This solved same problem (I think) I had during A460 porting.

Thanks for the hint!!
I've previously changed this value from 0xC0220048 (from a560) to 0xC022009c (a700) 'cause it make fw not to load,  but after that fw loads I have not checked correct value with IDA....

Correct value is 0xC02200bc - now chdk boots correctly and no error messages are shown.

Go to the first post in the topic for the download link of 0.3beta with USB remote enabled for testing.

Ok , it's me again with a noob question : USB remote enable that means i can use remote shooting from a dedicated software ? or is it about that usb remote cable 10x

no software control (I think this would never been on this camera) but it's about the usb remote cable..

OSD not working (e.q. battery meter), except for the menus... :( Maybe I'm doing something wrong. :(
