I have found this out. I checked out a lot of 4GB cards listed on the
internet as "SD" and after looking at the picture and or reading the text
about the card found out that they were really SDHC.

Hi to all,

I finally found out my camera's firmware version and installed Card Tricks
& CHDK by following the CHDK For Dummies Tutorial. I now have the CHDK
splash screen showing up on my SD300 camera but NO CHDK Menu is visible.
Is there an additional step or procedure I should be doing?

Hi Graphics Guy,

you need to press the <Alt> button, followed by the <Menu> button.
Note that the <Alt> button is a CHDK vitual button, it is not the same for every cam.
For SD300 / ixus40 i think it's the Direct Print button:

Hi Whim,
Thank you for responding to my post.
You are correct - To see the CHDK menu on my SD300
I had to press the Print/Share button and then the Menu
button. Now, all I have to do is explore the CHDK menu and
learn what all the available options do. I hope there a guide
somewhere to assist us newbe's.
I am interested in setting up the camera to shoot in RAW
so I can modify them in either my Photoshop CS5 or PSE9.
I would also be interested in learning how to shoot multiple
exposures with multiple exposure settings. (+ or - 1 or 2 f-stops).
I am not sure that the SD300 is advanced enough to do this,
but possibly some CHDK Guru might have accomplished this.

Thanks again for your invaluable help, I really appreciate it.
