Hey guys, just registered and I have what is probably a noob question.
So, running CHDK on an S90 successfully, running an intervelometer script, also successfully.
However, this seems to kill my battery pretty quickly.
I'd really like a way to kill the display entirely on the camera to conserve power.
I don't see a setting for this.  Maybe a script?  But could I run two scripts at the same time?
Any insight would be much appreciated.

Hello and welcome.

In the CHDK Miscellaneous menu there is an option to turn-off the screen in ALT mode, script mode or all the time.

Hmmm, under Misc Stuff, I'm seeing "Disable LCD OFF"  choices are always, script, never, and alt.  None of them seem to have the desired effect.

This options *disables* LCD off. You could set this to "never" and then adjust the camera sleep time to the lowest value. Then the camera should turn it off between shots. This would only be useful if your interval is significantly longer than the sleep delay.

If this isn't what you want, there are some other ways to save display power
- use the set_backlight script command http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/CHDK_firmware_usage/MoreBest#set_backlight.28.29
- use button presses in script to turn the display off.
- plug something into the A/V jack. This turns the LCD off, but doesn't actually save much power. If your camera has the A/V on USB, you need to use canons special cable, but AFAIK you don't have to plug it into anything.
