Seems like any device that can run code and has a USB out is being used to jailbreak PS3s these days, from phones to calculators, mostly using the open source PSGroove code. Anyone know if a script could be made to do this with a Canon camera running CHDK? Seems like it ought to be do-able and probably with less effort than on those other devices, since CHDK is all about scripting.

One essential part seems to be having low-level USB control. Somehow you have to mimic being a USB hub with devices connecting and disconnecting. As far as I know (which isn't that much) such low-level control hasn't really been achieved yet.

So my guess is as follows. Do-able: perhaps. Less effort: unlikely.
