G11 boot issues

I'm using version 0.9.9-1004 on my G11 and I have boot issues. The firmware on my camera is 1.00H and as suggested i'm using the 1.00J firmware. Since I have a 8GB SDHC I've made 2 partitions on it as the info suggested.

The problem i'm having is when I start the camera up it boots on the second time, first time it shows some activity (power led turns on for a second) and shuts down. To bypass it i have to half-press the shutter but doing it every time is kind of annoying.

EDIT: I was also wondereing if this is normal - when i boot up the camera from the power button, with canon's firmware it starts up the shooting mode, but with CHDK it goes to playback mode.

EDIT2: Ok issue solved, I found that there was an update to 1005 on the autobuild server and that fixed the boot issue. Sorry for the thread.

Hello & welcome !

Yes, that's the default behavior on camera's without a mechanical playback/record mode switch.
Press or half-press the shutter button to switch to record mode; you may also hold the power button for ~1.5s to power on directly into record mode...
