Trojan virus in CameraVersion v1.2

Hi.

First at all, I wish to thank the effort of 'whim' to bring us the CamaraVersion option.

After a check of CamaraVersion's files with VirusTotal, the v1.2 file is flagged by the antivirus Jiangmin (v13.0.900) with Trojan/Refroso.ijp (I made the check twice, on different downloads and dates). The v1.1 file was fine.

Could you comment on this?

Hi, Felipe !

I regularly use VirusTotal (if it's available, that is, seems to be very busy lately) and have noticed before that
Jiangmin seems to dislike 7-zipped self extractors with a UPX compressed executable in it ...
Just unpack the self extractor with 7-zip and scan the separate
parts, if you're worried -
how many Trojans do you know that are delivered with source code

You could also just download the latest exiftool and
replace the one used in CameraVersion 1.1

PS just scanned it with Jotti (VT was overloaded again) and it found nothing

Thanks for your answer.

I wrote my post because I couldn't find anything about this subject in the forum and thought this could help.

For my own case, determining the camera version and installing CHDK was quick and hassle-free because of the resources found in the CHDK Wiki and the people behind them. It astonishes all things CHDK can do. Thanks to everybody who is helping in this development.
