badpixel.lua won't execute on SD450

first, i've read the user guide and searched the forums for this problem.  i believe i am following the proper procedure, but i can't get the badpixel.lua script to execute properly.
SD450
Dec. 19,2010 build
i have accessed the script menu, loaded the badpixel.lua script, pressed the PRINT button, then when i press the shutter button the display immediately says ***STARTED***   and   ***FINISHED***
the camera never takes 2 pictures nor do i get a "press set to save" prompt.
in the script menu i have tried SCRIPT AUTOSTART values of OFF, ON, and ONCE, with the same results.
FWIW, in the display the script name is actually     ._badpixel.lua

once in a while, i remind myself that i am an idiot.

my problem is i loaded the wrong script.  in the list of files, i went right by the proper file (BADPIXEL.LUA), going all the way down to the bottom of the list where there is another (empty) file called ._badpixel.lua

now all is well.
