DNGForPowershot - Download Link is dead

I've got some RAW .CRW Files that I'd like to get converted, but I'm running into a wall everywhere I turn. The link to DNGForPowershot is giving a 404 error. I found a mirror to it on some random guys LiveJournal page, but the mirror link is dead as well. I've found other applications that are supposed to work but am unable to use them for various reasons.

If anyone can provide a live link to DNGForPowershot I would greatly appreciate it. I'd be happy to host a mirror for it as well so folks don't run into this issue moving forward. Thanks!

So I think I found a usable mirror at http://www.orbitfiles.com/download/id2077459757.html

But the issue remains that the primary link is dead.

I take that back. Apparently that's not the right thing. It looks like only 4 camera models are supported. Back to the search. *sigh*

Possible solutions:

1. (If you insist on converting on PC rather than on camera)
Download DNG4PS2 0.2.3 beta26 here edit: you might have to create a profile for your camera, if not
supported - try by copying from a cam with the same sensor

2. Use built-in DNG (takes slightly longer to save than CR2 raw)

I wasn't even aware I could convert it right on the camera =/

I do see the SD870 in the list of supported cameras in that release, however I have the SD780 =(

Sorry, version mix-up - what's worse: other camera's with the same sensor (SX20 - SX200) are not
supported either by DNG4PS2
So, internal conversion is your best bet, set it as follows (tested in rev.1049)

1. in RAW parameter menu, make sure save RAW is selected
2. in RAW parameter menu, select 'Create badpixel.bin' (needs to be done only once)
3. in RAW parameter menu, make sure 'DNG format' and 'DNG' file extension are selected

cheers,

wim

Another question I have, and perhaps I should make a new thread on this one....but since installed CHDK, when I connect my camera via USB it connects fine. I get a prompt to explore the camera with Windows explorer, but as soon as I go into the folder that contains the pictures the camera shuts off completely, which closes the explorer window.

I've searched but haven't found anyone experiencing the same issue.

Thanks a ton for the help wim!

Welp I didn't end up making a new thread being that I realized I was a moron. I'm pretty sure the card being locked was why it would close my explorer window when connecting it. Unlocking the card and connecting it to USB allows me to grab the files.
