...and to lens.c so that the auto-zoom only kicks in when you turn the focus ring and not just zoom: (focus length being affected by focal length)

Hi folks,

been trying to setup the toolchain using this script : https://bitbucket.org/hudson/magic-lantern/src/a28afc13b7ea/toolchain/summon-arm, applied the patch https://bitbucket.org/hudson/magic-lantern/src/a28afc13b7ea/toolchain/patches/patch-gcc-4.6.2-config-arm-t-arm-elf.diff and running the script stops with this:

The file '/root/arm-toolchain462/share/gcc-4.6.2/python/libstdcxx' exists, but is just empty. Since i'm fairly new to python, i have no clue whats wrong here and could use some help  ;)

You need to find it yourself =) I dont remember how I setup all this sh*t %)
If you want I can share the Ubuntu image for WMware with all the tools you need. It is about ~8 GB.

oh,..  i also tried to build it without success so an image of your ubuntu would also be appreciated here :D

Thanks ectaVgen, but I'm already running a sweet debian derivate and my internet connection is really slow, so an ubuntu image would be no option, sorry. Anyway, i will dig myself through the Makefile ... See you all next year or so  ;)

though I havent been able to use the newer builds yet since i havent been able to make magic lantern work with 1.0.9

here is what i've tried yet.. maybe you can tell me what im doing wrong

***before i start I have: Canon 50D firmware 1.0.8 with ML from the website

  • I *DISABLE* the BOOTFLAG from the camera with the canon menu "upgrade firmware" and moving the mode from M to AV : and I see the confirmation from ML that bootflag is DISABLED
  • I format my CF Card to have it back to original and remove the spacial flag and label with EOS_CARD
  • I successfully upgrade my camera firmware to 1.0.9
  • I delete the 1.0.9 firmware file, I extract the original ML to my CF card and I use EOSCARD to put back the special Label/Flag
  • I try to re-enable the bootflag with the canon menu Firmware upgrade *** it only goes to a Black Screen and only the auto focus works, I need to remove battery to have my camera working again
  • I copy your latest autoexec.bin to my CF Card and re-try to enable the bootflag and the same thing happens
do you have an idea?  the original ML has a 50D_108.fir file   does that one still work?  do I need a new one for 1.0.9 ? (if so i havent seen it anywhere)
