my roomate had a 50d but he's gone for the summer now, i could have helped :-/

hope progress continues! someone should setup a bitbucket account to at least have one repository.

I have a 50D and am a developer but done programming only on windows/linux platform and nothing on embedded side. If somebody could give me some pointers on where to start I could start on the port.

First, compile Chuchin's sources with the 550D build instructions and run your own autoexec.bin on the camera. You can fork the ML source tree on bitbucket, as the other developers did. Read this thread and the 60D one for hints, and the development pages on ML wiki.

I think it's because most people believe Magic Lantern is only for video.

I am not complaining, i just can't understand if somebody is working onto the project.
There are a couple of offerings in the thread but nothing is moving so i guess no one is interested that much.

FYI: I've spent around 3 months analyzing the firmware, understanding how things work and documenting that on the wiki before having courage to run Magic Lantern on my camera. It's not something you can do overnight.

I'm aware of that but a post doesn't take that much time to be made.
If somebody has done any progress it would be nice to hear about it. That's it.
