I've made a couple pics of the 50D's internals.
Here's the motherboard:

Hi all,

in this moment i am on the island of teneriffa without my 50D. I was looking for a possibility to make timelapse pictures for my panasonic tz10 and found infos about our ML project.

Great news, great improvements,great teamwork...

I am really interrested in testing your software. As i undestand i need the .fir file to set the bootflag and the bin file with the 50D code. Please can anyone share this files because on the official download side  there is only a hint "50D comming soon"

Cheers

I've googled any chip onto the motherboard and none of them seems to be an audio chip.
But...i've ripped a wire that connects to the lower piece of the board (tripod screw zone) and the camera is still working fine. I wonder what that is, hoping to repair it soon.

Very useful Ilguercio,
I have identified some chips here: http://magiclantern.wikia.com/wiki/Datasheets
like an FPGA, and T19A that be might updatable, so maybe we can learn their code....

Yes indy, it is connected to a cable that is going into the lcd and thumb wheel body piece, i'll show you a picture of it.
Those connectors plug into right bottom and left bottom (white one) .
What about that wire that broke up? ( i circled it in my previous post) .

Thanks for the hint. I photographed it because i tought it was something audio related too but couldnt understand what's a speaker for in that place.
Is there a speaker on 550D or 60D? Where is it?

The speaker is used for focus beep and for movie playback. I believe it should go through the same audio chip which records audio.

In 550D it's just under the zoom buttons (you can easily cover it to the finger).

On 60D I don't remember where it is (it's a bit harder to cover with the finger).

Are you able to sort of put an audio file inside the autoexec so we can see if it can be played? :)
