because i not very often need more than 4 gb of SD Card, but sometimes i want use larger, i get the idea to create 1. parttion as FAT16 with 4gb size.
2. Partition is then the rest of RAM as FAT32
But there need a function in chdk that can set and disable the switch to second partion on boot
so when you have a shooting and need only 4 GB then all files can see in windows easy.
Now when you notice that your card is full you can change that 2. Partition is use, reboot and chdk switch to the other partiton to use more SD card mem.
So only when you really need more than 4 GB of ram you need 2. partition access for store images. later switch partitions
do other find this feature usefull too and maybe a chdk expert coder can add a menu entry, to enable / disable the choose of second partition when the card contain 2 Partion ?
