CHDK Freezing on A570

I have an A570 with 1.01A firmware. I have tried both versions of CHDK (the complete and small), with 2 different SD cards (Transcend 4gb sdhc, and Kodak 2GB SD). CHDK loads up fine but any time I use any type of override, such as shutter or flash override, the camera just freezes.

It makes the flash, and acts like its taking the picture, but then it shows an orange light next to the viewfinder, and a black screen on the lcd that lasts for roughly 10 minutes. After 10 minutes it makes a picture taking sound and pops up with a hand that says "busy". That never goes away (at least it doesn't after 20 minutes), I have to pull the batteries. Any help?

You most probably enabled a extremly long tv override (e.g. 600 second, the camera captures a dark frame for another 600 seconds while "Busy" is shown).

--> reset the CHDK setings to the default values from the CHDK menu, or (better):
--> delete the CHDK config file \CHDK\cchdk.cfg on your SD card

You were exactly right. I really feel like a moron, because normally I know better, but must have had a major brain toot (I say toot because the more traditional word got censored for some reason). Somehow I accidentally mistaked 2000 for 1/2000 (well more specifically it was 2048), so that when I meant to be taking 1/2000 second exposures, I was actually taking 2000 second exposures. Problem solved, thanks.
