Sorry Noob raw question, s95.

I read the sticky posts about CHDK raw and did some searches, I still didn't see an answer to this question.

Sorry in advance if i missed something.

I was wondering if having CHDK enabled in my S95 effects the type of raw output i get from my camera.
Since the S95 already allows raw format, I would think that CHDK will not override this.
I just want to make sure that I can still get the full bits per pixel of the canon raw file vs the 10bpp of the CHDK raw files.

Thanks for any help.

CHDK does not affect Canon raw functionality at all. It is completely independent.

CHDK "raw" is just a dump of the sensor frame, so the number of *significant* bits cannot be less than what is in the Canon raw. The s95 frame buffer is 12 bit like most recent powershots, although it's likely that only 10 are significant.
Don't forget what the H stands for.

I guess that makes a lot of sense.

Thanks a lot for the info!
