SX20is ver.req failed

SX20is ver.req failed

I have tried using note pad cmd and card tricks to get firmware version info for my camera. When I press function set and then disp. all I get is the time.

According to the Wiki page for SX20 it should work ...

Things to check:
- Are you holding down Func/Set while pressing Disp ?

- Check if ver.req is really present (and is not called 'ver.req.txt')

- Still no luck ? Rename ver.req to vers.req and retry

hope that does the trick; if not there's always CameraVersion (Win) and ACID (Win / Mac),
both can identify your cam from a JPG shot with it, links are here

Ok got it I had to end up reformating the card.   ver. req valid and chdk installed!
