RAW Photo Panorama Software?

Would like to make some panoramas using CHDK RAW photos.

Searched the forum but did not find any postings.  Then Googled using RAW Panorama Software and found Panorama Maker 5 Pro. http://www.arcsoft.com/estore/software_title.asp?ProductCode=PMK5PRO

Am wondering if anyone has tried it?  or if anyone uses any other RAW Photo Panorama Software?

Thanks

Ken

I would suggest you have a look at the Autopano software and read the support forum. The site contains comprehensive information on panorama photography and panorama devices.

I personaly use Autopano Pro and I am extremely satisfied.

I use DNG file and the color matrix shall be well set to have good coloration, including HDR panorama.

Look at my signature's links.

@ Lebeau.

Excellent photos. I looked at panorama software about one year ago. I don't have the review anymore; according to the reviews, I read at the time, Autopano Pro is the best and probably the fastest processing software of the panorama stitching software on the market.

I assume that you live in Canada. Have you looked at the Merlin / Orion / Papywizard project on the Autopano forum? Apparently the head is available in the USA at a reasonable price. Unfortunately I live in Australia, the postage and handling costs will double the cost of the unit when shipped to Australia.

For a simple free stitcher, Microsoft Research have their Image Composite Editor:

Seems fairly idiot proof - take my word for that! ;)

Doesn't have much in the way of controls, so you have to more or less accept what it gives you, but that also limits the number of ways you can mess things up.

Thanks for nice comms.

I just get a fresh look to the project. That's interesting but I am not a fan of big and/or full panorama. I am using panoramic capture to increase resolution, to increase dynamic range, to increase field-of-view, to capture context with event, to increase compositing, ...

But someday, I could be interested.

Yes, I live in Canada :)
