i just asked if there are any updates on porting firmware, I woud port it if i woud know ASM or C
If anyone who reads this forum is working on the port, they will post if they make significant progress.

If there is someone working on it who doesn't read the forum, they aren't going to see your posts.

Either way, bumping the thread serves no purpose.
Don't forget what the H stands for.

Eeeks! Just bought four A2200's with the intention of using them to monitor window-use-behavior in my PhD on Natural Ventilation. Should have checked to see if this model was ported first.

I will be very happy if somebody manages to port soon.

Best of luck,

Rory

Do they have a return policy ?  If you really need CHDK then waiting for a port is probably not a great idea (see the link I posted a few messages back in this forum thread).

Quick update, since it looks like this model is becoming popular.

I resumed the work on the camera (school work took a little longer then planned + some unexpected stuff) and I'm currently trying to make it boot.

The firmware is DryOS 2.3 , revision "0047.

The only reference port I found so far with this version is the SX220 SH and I'm still figuring out the whole boot process, so progress is a bit slow.

So, any PRO tips on this would help greatly.

Some good news, managed to get the camera to load the CHDk firmware and blink an LED with it.

Found out the correct dancing bit encoding code (0,4,2,7,3,6,5,1), luckily was already in CHDK code, so auto booting with a lock SD card already works.

Next I'll try to make the booting sequence work (at leas to get a screen on). Once that works I'll publish the code somewhere.

Quick status update:

I managed to chew trough most of the boot process and I'm now able to boot the camera firmware trough CHDK. Nothing useful yet, but it's progress.

Next stop, hooks & keyboard!
