Hi all... i'll want to ask something. I've my a2200 with C firmware, so i've tried to install the ported "C" dowloading it from this thread. I'll want to know if i can make Time lapse with it and how. Tnx for your hard job and merry xmas for all  :xmas
Tnx (sorry for my bad english  :-[ )

Hi

If you managed to boot the CHDK on your camera then you can make time lapse videos. You need to load a script for that and this one was tested to work: http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/UBASIC/Scripts:_Ultra_Intervalometer

Modify it to your needs and good luck.

if I enable Override Subj. Dist. V camera crashes

I can replicate this! Looks like the camera wants to take the picture before the lens stops moving.

Anybody has any advice on how to tackle this or other posted bugs?

Hello friends,
I am a new one to CHDK with A2200 firmware GM1.00D .
I tried to get the CHDK with the resulting screen showing  "Update File Error!!!"

I have tried several combination of formatting the SD using windows(v7) & Cardtricks. Tried to boot CHDK with SD-lock(i.e. sd reade-write locked with the tab) and manual with creating the file PS.FI2.

a) With card-lock and SD-boot enabled through Cardtricks, the camera even does not turn on.
b) With manual chdk loading, it shows the "Update File Error!!!"

I have attached files showing firmware, error message, cardtricks screen and SD file structure.
[in my next post as I can attach only two images:
http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php?topic=6254.msg78490#msg78490]

I also have tried the two DISKBOOT.BIN with the size: 240,065 bytes and 217,689 which is located inside the 'a2200-100c-0.9.9-r1399-full.zip' with same result.

I guess I am missing something. How do I start the CHDK ? Thanks.

Here is your problem:

The build I posted is for firmware version 1.00B. There is also a version based on mine for  1.00C by ryan00019. But there is no build yet for firmware version 1.00D.

Your options are are to either wait till someone ports it to 1.00D firmware (I only have 1.00B cameras) or you try to port it to 1.00D firmware yourself (based on the source for 1.00B build).

I could not compile the a2200 1.00b sourcecode using chdk-shell 3.42 program in windows. Since the camera is not listed in chdk-shell, i copied the source code of a2200 to a2000 1.00b and tried to re-compile and it showed errors.

Can it be done under cgywin ? I tried in cgywin with error  "no acceptable C compiler found in $PATH" when i tried to install gcc.

Is there any easy way to re-compile ?

And is there any source code for 1.00c ?

Thanks and Merry Christmas :xmas

Using the source from another camera will almost certainly not work for your camera.  At least it never has so far.  If you have a camera with a different firmware version than a ported camera you might have a chance,  but not with a different camera.

I you still want to try compiling,  I think what you did should have worked with one exception.  You need to change the code in main/kbd.c near the top to include the name of the new camera model.

Well, there is this link (always useful to search through the porting thread) :

Standard disclaimer here :  link> CHDK FAQ : My camera isn't ported yet

UPDATE : I just reread your post and am confused now.  What camera do you own ?  a2200 or a2000

Christmas update report :P

(same links, new files)
* beta build (2011.12.24): DISKBOOT.BIN firmware version 1.00b, use the Card Lock method
* beta source (2011.12.24): chdk.a2200.zip based on CHDK svn version 1500

Updated to latest and greatest + zebra now displays correctly. Rest of the bugs are still in:

- Enabling Override Subj. Dist. crashes the camera
- Custom colors based on ixus310 work, but I can't find the active_palette_buffer for CHDK menu. Logo looks fine, so does games and file browsing. I tried buffers from 0 to 32.
- Enabling unlock optical zoom in video works, but after using zoom once, the zoom controls become unresponsive in any mode, needs a reboot. (Also, does CHDK support continuous AF?)
- Sokoban doesn't run.

if I enable Override Subj. Dist. V camera crashes

I was able to produce a crash long and been poking around the code for a while now with no luck  :'(

Anyone with an idea to steer me in the right direction?

If I enable RAW / DNG formats here, the camera turns itself off when I try to take a picture. I've created the badpixel.bin file. Using version 2011.12.24, firmware version 1.00b.
