Another question, where can I signal to the EOScard team that there might be an issue there
Were you using the most recent version :
http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/EOScard ?
The screenshots there seem to show it working properly.
I tried again,
* first with the card I manually corected, it now shows the correct address,
* then with another card that has not been tagged yet and it shows the wrong address 0x05c.
I think, to reproduce the issue, insert a card than has never been tagged (or where the BOOTDISK tag has been "blanked"?), formated to FAT32 and run EOScard.

I have a sceren shot, done with a fresh download, on a FAT32 card that has never been tagged, should I post it? Where?

One question: Is the UI as flickery and evanescent on other cameras as well, or is it fixable but no one's gotten around to it?

Up to now I have not seen anything flickering,
I have a 1.00d firmware version, and you?
Is it only in specific menu/operations or random or always?

Some flicker is normal when the canon OSD updates. This depends on your shooting settings, for example if you have face detect on, it will update a lot more frequently to draw the face boxes.

Questions :
1) Is the card formatted FAT32 (not exFAT)?
2) Did EOScard write BOOTDISK at 0x1E0?
3) Are you using a PC or a MAC ?
4) Did you remember to move the SD card lock switch to the locked position ?

It came formatted as fat32, should i reformat?

also, how do i know if it wrote BOOTDISK on that sector at 0x1E0? through a hex editor? is there any other way to verify?

I'm on PC. Yes i put it on locked.

Hello Everyone.
Im new to CHDK. everything went fine with my installation, which i made through this step-by-step tutorial: http://komku.blogspot.com.br/2010/05/how-to-install-chdk-on-canon-digital.html

I have some questions about the last build (1984), which is the first one i installed.
I can now set manual Shutter Speed, however, the ISO Speed shown on the camera when i half press the shutter and/or after i take the picture, even on the EXIF, is not matching with the ISO Speed set on CHDK.
By an example, when i want ISO 1000 i put ISO Value 100/Factor 10 or the reverse and it gives me ISO 1600 or even higher. Is everyone experiencing the same problem?

Also, another question, this camera takes max 1.0fps on P - Program mode, but it takes 3+ FPS when on Low Light or Blur Reduction SCN Mode (Everyone Knows that, Ok, Sorry).  I would like to know if it is possible to make the camera take 3FPS on the P Mode, with full resolution. I really don't have any idea on how to make this happen, however, with CHDK i can always go higher than ISO 1600 on P Mode, and this was impossible with the default camera software.

Thanks to everyone who contributed to this project, im really happy with the new possibilities that CHDK opened to my camera :)

The displayed ISO value and the override value are not the same, see discussion of "market" and "real" ISO on http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/CHDK_User_Manual#Override_ISO_value

It is also possible the camera display and exif may do not reflect the actual value used. You should compare the actual brightness of the images if you want to be sure if the override is working or not.

No. These modes are fast because the image resolution is reduced very early in the canon processing. If Canon could make their camera shoot 3x faster at full quality, they would already do that.
