does anyone know how to use chdk shell to port chdk 100B a2200 to 100D by replacing PRIMARY.bin and recompiling? According to ryan00019, it's possible.
This is not correct. http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/Adding_support_of_a_new_firmware_version describes the actual process. Waterwingz chdk-pt tool may also be useful http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/CHDK-PT_:_A_tool_for_porting_CHDK_to_different_firmware_versions_of_the_same_camera
Don't forget what the H stands for.

More info here :  http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php?topic=6367

If this looks like something you understand and can tackle,  you can get lots of help here and on the IRC channel as you work your way through it.

New alpha release:

(same links, new files)
* alpha build (2011.11.30): DISKBOOT.BIN use the Card Lock method
* alpha source (2011.11.30): chdk.a2200.zip based on CHDK svn version 1364

Saving RAW images as DNG works (I mistyped some buffers, go figure); also updated code in lib.c to be similar to newer xs220sh & xs230hs cameras, the menus flicker now a bit less.

Camera also shares their color scheme, playback logo is now red but the shooting logo is still orange (would implementig colored icons fix this?).

Next stop, pinning down address for vid_get_viewport_live_fb() and chewing trough camera.h & platform_camera.h to clean it up.

Is there a list of known issues in the distro? I've never been the programmer I'd like to be so it might be better just to have a list of things to keep an eye on when I install.
