If I enable RAW / DNG formats here, the camera turns itself off when I try to take a picture. I've created the badpixel.bin file. Using version 2011.12.24, firmware version 1.00b.

With just enabling RAW on my camera works. I can't reproduce that. Did you also enable any other options?

Just bought a A2200 today after following this thread for the past three days..... Just loaded ver.req onto my sd card and checked out the firmware and it turned out to be 1.00D and I have noticed that the 1.00D firmware dump is already present in the dumping thread.

Just wanted to know whether Nilinhim or anyone else is working on 1.00D or not.... If yes then maybe I could help if you could update me with the progress till now....

Thanks....

Latest update: 8 posts back.

In short, your options are are to either wait till someone ports it to 1.00D firmware (I only have 1.00B cameras) or you try to port it to 1.00D firmware yourself (based on the source for 1.00B build).

Thanks for the reply....

Should I be trying with CHDK-PT?

If not then what exactly should I be using for the new port?

Porting to a different firmware version is considerably easier than doing the first port to a new camera.  However, it will take time and some software skills.  If you feel you are up to it,  here's a link to some instructions :  CHDK wiki page for CHDK-PT

Thanks for the info waterwingz.....

Have read the page already and have set everything up.... Now trying to figure it all out .....

Have downloaded the firmware and installed the CHDK-Shell and also the source files.

Let me try to get everything together and get going from there....

FYI - the CHDK IRC channel can be a faster source of help. But that sort of depends on who is connected and actually online.  Lots of zombie bots there most of the time.

This is what I get when trying to compile with CHDK-Shell and "OPT_GEN_STUBS" selected for a2200 100d

Where am I going wrong? I copied the files to the trunk directory and also created the 100d under a2200/sub

Did you put a PRIMARY.BIN file into the 100d directory ?
