Hello

I have a Canon SD1200is

In the past I have put together excellent time lapse sequences by simply using a rubber band to hold down my shutter while the camera was on continuous shooting mode. The advantage of this method is that you can half-click once to focus on whatever you want, and those settings will be shot for the rest of the time lapse sequence. The obvious disadvantage is that I had no control over the interval between shots.

I would like to know if anyone is aware of a script that does this.

A time lapse that sets the settings once and then goes with it. I found this helpful: http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/LUA/Scripts:_Accurate_Intervalometer_with_power-saving_and_pre-focus

but it seems to be crashing my camera after a few shots.

Any suggestions or links?

Greatly appreciated, Peter

I also wanted this for a long time - great for time lapse in a car - then I found this:

http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/UBASIC/Scripts:_A_fast_%22intervalometer%22

I'm going to make a modification to it so that I can press one of the buttons and the camera will restart continuous mode with new settings - so I can adjust the exposure etc, when I want it to without interrupting the script.

Well I got the script I mentioned to work, and for some shots with controlled lighting it works great. It even does pretty nice sunrises and sunsets because it basically re-evaluates the exposure needed.

On the down side, I sometimes get flicker, because the exposure is re evaluated. I see the potential advantage of the coding -- press full shoot, release half shoot. Maybe there is something in there to help me get what I want.

Any other ideas?
