Unable to take pics in 'ALT' mode (sx10is)

I downloaded what I think is the correct CHDK. I can pull up the menu in <ALT> mode and make changes, but I can not get the camera into 'capture' mode. It seems to not recognize the shutter input, and I get a scrip run error msg. Also, it shuts-off when I hit the preview button. The camera works completely fine in normal mode, and this error occurs 100% of the time.

PLEASE HELP! I want to be able to take time-lapse shots of the meteor shower in a week (4/22/2011)!

Info:
Camera: sx10is
Firmwhere: GM1.03a
CHDK file: sx10-103a-0.9.9-1133-full.zip (the only 'sx10' one I could find)
Error msg when I hit the shutter button:
*** STARTED ***
This is a default script.
Scripts run when shutter
is pressed in ALT mode.
Press shutter to exit.
*****

Alt mode is only used to adjust settings or run scripts. To take pictures, leave alt mode.

Thanks for the quick responce!

I set my override shutter speed to 256. I hit the 'print' button to exit out of alt mode, but my shutter is just the 1/30 that is displayed (and used to take the pic). Any more help??

I just tried the 'override shutter speed' = 32, and the 'value factor' = 1, and it worked! Now some long nights trying to get exposure and shutter speeds just right!
