We can read the temperature of many components.

Is it possible to "soft" overclock the CPU ?

And therefore monitor the component temperature to drive the overclocking factor.

This is not known. There are indications in the firmware that the camera dynamically changes clock speeds, but (on older cameras at least) there's no obvious way to get outside the predefined values.

In general, I would not expect overclocking to be useful for much on these things. Except bragging rights, and that doom port maybe ;)
