I'm sure I'm just missing something simple but I read the manual and did a bunch of Google searches on this forum and can't find a solution. Just installed 1.2.0-3124 on my s100 with firmware 1.02a. The description of the steps was perfect and got the CHDK flash screen on start-up.
I mainly want to force higher ISO to maintain better shutter speeds. So I went in and changed:
- Enable Custom Auto ISO - *
- Min Shutter Speed 1/60s
- Max ISO Auto 3200
The problem is, when I half press, the correct/CHDK ISO/shutter shows for maybe 1/4 second, and then it reverts to the Canon selection. So for example, it would show Auto ISO before the shutter is pressed, then at half-press show ISO 1600, Shutter 1/60th and then change to ISO 400, Shutter 1/15th. I've half pressed an fully pressed the shutter a number of times and 1/60th is never maintained in low light (and therer's always room to move the ISO up to the maximum I put in).
So I tried other settings too and they just don't "stick", meaning that they only appear to work (e.g. Override ISO 3200 shows for 1/4 second). The CHDK OSD shows the setting correctly (e.g. AUTOISO:ON).
What am I missing? Upgraded the Firmware and verified the upgrade with Acid. I tried both the Complete and Simple installs and the same behavior exists. I even tried to download the pictures and see if they were different (in case the camera OSD and EXIF data was lying to me) but a Override ISO of 100 looked identical zoomed in as ISO 3200. And of course Disable Overrides is off.
Any help would be appreciated.
