Update ptpCamGui rev.105

- Improvements of the lua console.

- Video recording is now also available for cameras with extra video button. Select a capture mode and use the video button of the gui.

- Not available keys (ERASE, PRINT, ZOOM+, ZOOM-) are now disabled  (depends on camera).

I am trying to compile the ptpcamGui DLL.

It immediately fails with :-

[Fatal Error] uCmdCapture.pas(24): File not found: 'AnsiStrings.dcu'

I do not see it anywhere on the system.

I am trying to use Borland Delphi 6.

Also, where are jhead.exe, jpegtran.exe and 7za.exe ?

In a word, what is needed to compile this DLL project ?

Hi Microfunguy,

ptpcam.dll is written with delphi 2010. 'AnsiStrings.dcu' is a part of this version.

I will try to obtain Delphi 2010.
There is a 30-day trial of Delphi XE, I don't know if it would be suitable.
It  is a massive programme that also wants to install .NET framework.

You can try this for Delphi 6:
- delete 'AnsiStrings' from USES block
- now replace AnsiString-functions with older String-functions, please use Delphi helpfile for correct parameter and options

That compiled OK, thanks.

The compiler uses the word 'hint' instead of 'warning', less aggressive !

Why do you use Delphi, do you prefer it to C++ ?

Delphi is the fastest way for me to get a DLL. If you want then port the project to C.

I try to connect with CHDK Shell v3.35 ptpCamGUI to A630 (CHDK build 1344).

>> reset <<  (Length: 0)
** init() start ...
>> version << ptpcam: 2.0
camera: 2.1 (Length: 24)

and get error note saying camera version 2.1 but supported 2.0.

What is wrong?
