I tried ptpcam gui with my SX260 and it would not be recognized, no matter what I did.  I then decided to see if it would recognize my SD790.  Not only did it recognize it, all of ptpcam gui functions worked flawlessly, even to the point of turning off the camera.    :)

Hi NormanA,
have you setup libusb for using sx260?

I guess that would help, wouldn't it?   :(  I'll try that and report back.

I'm using Windows 8, 64bit and it will not allow unsigned drivers, so, it appears to be no way to register my SX260 to work with ptpcam gui, unless someone knows of a way.

Hey! I have Canon IXUS 105. I cant get it to work with ptpCamGui2.0.134. I heard there are couple of cameras that can't be remotely triggered. is my IXUS 105 one of them??

I've been trying to contemplate using WiFi for image retrieval but have concluded that the solution is too unstable for the moment.

I have ptpcam gui working with my IXUS240HS. What I'd like to realise is:

- Cam is running Ultimate Intervalometer script
- Connect camera through USB
- Download images with ptpcam gui
- Turn Ultimate.lua on again to continue time lapse.
- Disconnect USB and leave.
- Repeat.

Downloading the images works fine. But how I would use ptpcam gui to activate my Ultimate.lua?

You might find that the scripting capability of chdkptp is more useful for your project?
