I believe the forum has at some point in the recent past started to automatically mark posts of which it has sent me email notifications as "read". This is not good, I find myself missing posts because I never click those email links but use the "Show unread posts since last visit" link instead.

I've noticed something like that too.  But it seems more like it sets some posts as "read" based on age or maybe on whether the post is older than other posts that you have actually opened ?

So, when I have a couple of moments,  I scroll through http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php?action=recent.

Not a great answer but at least you have confirmed that I am not totally losing it.

Well I did get notification of your reply and "Show unread posts" got me here, i.e. now it worked fine. So maybe time or something else has an effect as you suggest.
