You're good to go. Don't forget to use the new sigfinder http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php?topic=6560.0 . Upload the firmware somewhere and post the link in this thread http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php?topic=288.315 .

Looks like same dryos release numbers have the same dancingbits and keys.

Didn't find the fi2IV yet, but thanks to the information from the SX220 thread and funnel saying that values seem to be identical I found the fi2IV at offset 411CAC.
Values for dancing bits, and keys are identical between SX220 and A1200.

You probably want to use SDM rather than CHDK then.  Take a look at this : http://stereo.jpn.org/eng/sdm/cams.htm

Otherwise,  here's the standard response to your question : CHDK FAQ : My camera isn't ported yet

Tried to check out the code in IDA. I was hoping my basic knowledge in C/C++ is going to do some good. I guess I got to learn some assembly. Do you guys know some tutorials which I can read so I can understand all these assembly codes? - - I've done up to the instructions here so far: http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/Loading_dump_to_IDA.

I don't, but google probably does.

The ARM documentation may also be helpful, you can find links here http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/Developer_Technical_Documents

In particular, the "ARM Architecture Reference Manual" has a detailed description of every instruction. However, this is reference material, which assumes you have a solid grasp of the underlying principles. If you do not, you will have to invest a lot of time getting up to speed. Assembly language and the corresponding understanding of computer architecture is not something you are going to pick up in a weekend with a couple of tutorials. I'm not trying to discourage you from trying, but you should have a realistic idea of what's involved.
Don't forget what the H stands for.

What is the firmware version of your cam?  Could you discover LED addresses and post them?

Thank you so much for showing an interest. The firmware version of my cam is GM1.00C (1.0.0.0)
ADJ VER .005.007

I will try to find the led addresses ( whatever that thing is ) as soon as i can ( i am currently working on it). Again, thank you very much.
