Canon Digital Ixus 95is and CHDK

Hi all,

I've been wanting to install CHDK on my little Ixus for some time and now that I have a mo, I see that my camera only has firmware 1.00B rather than the requisite C. Would I be right in thinking I need to copy the CanonIxus95IS_SD1200IS_firmware1.00C_FFC00000.bin file onto a blank SD card and put it in the camera with a freshly-charged battery? Given the warnings that I could kill the camera I want to be sure I do it exactly right.

Thanks for your help,

B

No, the .bin file is just a dump of the firmware, not an update. You can only upgrade if Canon has issued an update, and they usually do not.

Unfortunately, if there is no CHDK for you camera version, you just have to wait until someone makes a port.
Don't forget what the H stands for.
