Hyperefocal Distance Readout

Hello. I am not sure where to post this but perhapse somebody could move to the correct section if in wrong place.
I am using a Canon G12 and there is a difference between the on screen CHDK hyperfocal distance setting suggested and that taken from Dofmaster On-Line DOF Calculator, for example with the lens set at 6.1(fully zoomed in) and aperture setting of f8, CHDK gives a Hyperfocal Distance of 0.983 mtrs, whereas DOFMaster using a circle of confusion of 0.007 shows a Hyperfocal Distance of 0.67 mtrs. I am reasonably sure that the G12 circle of confusion of 0.007 is correct so it may be that the wrong CofC has been used for calculating Hyperfocal Distance in CHDK. Comments welcomed, especially if I have got things wrong. The reason I am posting this is that I take landscapes and always use hyperfocal setting to give me max DoF.

There is no such thing as a 'correct' CoC but CHDK uses 0.005 for the G12.
