SX230 HS Firmware version: GM1.01a. Alpha

                                  AV overides working from f3.1 to f11

yesterday once again i tested AV overides and found i could click image from "f3.1 to f11".
But it doesnt reflect in CHDK AV overides at what value i am clicking an image, it just show 1.41.

I tried doing it by pressing SET button on AV overides in CHDK menu, from off onwards i have to click it fifteen times to get off once again. For all the fifteen times it only shows one value that is 1.41 but it actually changes "f" point from f3.1 to f11.(if i press SET button 12 times it gives me f11 after that it remains at f11 if i further press SET button), f value increased by half in one press. it goes like: after "off" it will be f3.1; f3.5; f4.0; f4.5; f5.0... and finally upto f11.

Can you really override the max F-number of 8? I assume that the camera changes the F number by altering the effective lens diameter with an iris?

Anyway I tested some features for the CHDK 1.0.0c
working:
-TV override, tested up to 64s (although exif shows wrong value)
-TV bracketing

not working:
ISO override

an aperture is a hole or an opening through which light travels which could be changed.

In SX230 HS Firmware version: GM1.01a. Alpha I am getting f values like : f3.1 to f11.

Bug: (for raw shooting in DNG)
- 30% to 40% images in raw DNG are getting currupted. i am just getting either complete black or complete white image. even its currupting jpeg image as well.
    when i try to capture an image with raw; i get either a white image with some megenta lines or complete black image with some color noise.

Bug: (for raw shooting)
-cannot capture raw DNG with iso above 100. the camera turns off if i try to click image in raw DNG with ISO above 100.

-Cannot open raw .crw file with any of the program (photoshop, DNG4PS-2,iraw etc.)

My point is, why the stock firmware does not allow for F11. I assumed that F8 is the smallest setting of the iris (if the camera uses an iris at all) and if u set it to F11 u must somehow close the iris even further. That doesn't really sound like something u wanna do to ur camera.

As far as i understand, the value cant go below f3.1 but it could go above f8 because we can reduce the size of the iris.
No idea why stock firmware doesnt allow above f8.

Is there anyone else who can correct bugs in SX230 HS Firmware version: GM1.01a. Alpha?

specially raw DNG curruption bug. its same as genie was getting :

Hey genie, can you post your source file?

I would try to port your firmware to GM1.01a using CHDK-PT, or can you do it for ver. GM1.01a?

I dont have a good programming knowldge.
