afaik you can switch in the chdk menu, so you just have to use set+disp once to get there. although I don't know if the 5-second-thing is still working
I just tested this, I CAN use the video button as ALT key, and holding the button DOES start video recording rather than entering ALT. WIN!

I would like to know if it is already possible have for SX230 the "AF KEY" (pressing shutter button during video recording camera makes a single autofocus scan) and manual focus during the video.

I second this! I constantly try to re-focus in video like I do on my SX20, but the camera doesn't do it by default... Another thing I would really like is the ability to change the AE-lock in video.. You can set it before starting, but once you start, it's locked (same for manual focus).
On another note, I now have a 1.00C camera for testing... My 1.01A had to go back due to a faulty card reader in the camera.
